
On Tuesday, Nov. 21, the women’s junior varsity basketball team played in their first game against Dillard High School. The score was 45-16 in Dillard’s favor.
Sammy Fisher (4) was the lead scorer for the team, with a total of seven points. The other scorers included Madi Goodman (32) with three points, Chelsea Watts (24) with two points, Kristina Longley (34) with two points and Sephora Bazile (55) with two points.
“I am so happy that the season started today,” Fisher said. “Coming into the team, the girls really welcomed me, and I am excited to continue this experience.”
The team will be playing in their first home game against Cypress Bay High School on Monday, Nov. 27 at 6 p.m..
Brianna Fisher is a senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas and the co Editor in Chief of the Eagle Eye. She loves being a part of the newspaper staff!! Brianna hopes to go into criminal justice when she is older to help those in need.
