[Brief] MSD offers ACT/SAT simulations to boost college placement scores for students

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School will be hosting ACT/SAT simulations to any MSD students who wish to attend, as well as Parkland residents that are currently in high school on Saturday, Jan. 27 for SAT and Saturday, Feb. 10.

Students participating are required to sign up before the day of the simulation because spots fill up quickly. The fee to participate is $10 on the Score At The Top e-store.

Students should be at school before 8:30 a.m and should bring pencils and a scientific calculator. Students must be parked or dropped off in the south lot. Parkland residents who do not attend MSD must bring a proper form of identification and MSD students should bring their school ID.

The SAT simulation is 3 hours and 30 minutes long and participants will be asked to apply knowledge in reading, writing and language and math. The ACT simulation also takes 3 hours and 30 minutes and will have English, math, reading, and science sectionson it. These are identical to the sections seen on the real SAT and ACT.

After the test is complete, students are able to leave through the bus gate. Detailed score reports will be released within a week of taking the simulation.
