The City of Parkland releases a flyer for their 2024 Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day. The event will take place on Saturday, April 13 at the Park Trails Amphitheatre.

Parkland hosts Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day

The City of Parkland is hosting an Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day on Saturday, April 13. The event will be at the Pine Trails Amphitheatre and last from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m..

“I think it is very important for Parkland to continue hosting events like these,” senior Aneesha Nookala said. “My family and I plan to go to support and have fun at the same time.”

The event will provide guests with games, live music, art, crafts, face painting, educational resources and a petting zoo. There will also be vendors and educators present. All interested vendors can submit an application by April 1, via the City of Parkland website. The form states that the attendance of the event is estimated to reach 300+ people.

The goal of the event is to engage with all members of the community to raise awareness and gain support for families and friends on the autism spectrum.
