[Brief] Prom packets and tickets are now available for MSD students

With the 2023-2024 school year coming to a wrap for seniors, students are preparing for prom with the purchase of their ticket on the Broward County e-store. Prom tickets went on sale on the estore on April 5, for $160, and they will remain on sale until 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24.

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School prom will be on May 11 at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Resort. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and last until 11 p.m..

“I am super excited to attend prom,” senior Karen Liu said. “I think that the night will be a night to remember especially since it is the only prom us seniors get.”

Only the MSD Class of 2024 can purchase tickets, but they are allowed to purchase one additional ticket for a guest.

“Although the prom tickets came out to be pretty expensive, I think the event is going to be really fun,” senior Andres Moreno said. “I can’t wait to spend this night with friends as this is the only prom we will be able to attend during high school.”

MSD students who purchase the tickets, either only for themselves or for an additional guest are required to fill out the prom packet, provided to students through the MSD 2024 canvas course or the MSD website. The prom packet will be due to room 210 by April 26.
