[Brief] Women’s JV volleyball team defeats Monarch

The women’s junior varsity volleyball team defeated Monarch High School on Sept. 26 at an away game. MSD won the best of three games by winning the first two. They claimed victory against their rival with scores of 25-22 and 25-14.

The crowd wore clashing colors in support of their team, MSD wore white and Monarch wore black.

“Despite the large section of black, Douglas still showed a lot of support in helping JV win against our rival,” Senior Ashleigh Allman said.

The team’s next game will be an away game on Thursday, Sept. 28 against Coral Glades High School.
