[Brief] BSU presents their first spirit week at MSD

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Black Student Union will be holding their very first spirit week in honor of Black History Month. The spirit week will be held from Tuesday, Feb. 22 to Friday, Feb. 25 with multiple special spirit days.

Tuesday, Feb. 22 is “HBCU Day,” where students should wear historically black college and university colors and apparel.

Wednesday, Feb. 23 is “Cultural Heritage Day,” where students will represent their cultural heritage by coming to school in cultural apparel.

Thursday, Feb. 24 is “Y2K vs. 90s,” where students will dress up in their 2000’s or 90’s attire.

Friday, Feb. 25 is “Blackout Day,” where students will wear all black as a tribute to victims of racial violence.

There will also be music, games and prizes in the main courtyard during both lunches.
