Cecilie’s Italian Ice offering free ices on 2/14

Cecile’s Gourmet Italian Ices is an Italian ice dessert shop that has been in Coral Springs since 1995 and has over 200 varieties of ices available. On Feb. 14, Cecile’s is offering their own form of comfort for the students and staff of MSD by offering free icees all day long to anyone who shows their school ID.

“We realize this is a somber and painful day for our entire community and an especially difficult one for the students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas. While nothing could make this day easier to navigate, we want to try to offer some comfort and support in any way we can,” Cecile’s said on their Facebook page.

Cecile’s is only one of many locations that are aiding and helping the grieving community in the best way they can.

“I think it is amazingly kind of Cecile’s to be holding an event for the community,” senior Megan Chou said. “It is great since people who are not directly connected to the school itself are helping students and staff on such a tough day.”

Their goal is to alleviate and help the community on a tough day and welcome all students and faculty to join them for free icees. They are located at 10726 Wiles Rd Coral Springs FL 33076 and are open from 1 to 10 pm on most days.
