Alaska closes polls
Alaska has closed their polls at 1 a.m. EST. This is the last state to close their polls and typically leans Republican.
Hawaii closes polls
Hawaii, a Democratic-leaning state, has closed their polls at midnight EST on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Western states close polls
At 11 p.m. EST, California, parts of Idaho, Oregon and Washington closed their polls.
Rep. Jared Moskowitz projected to win re-election
Rep. Jared Moskowitz is projected to keep his U.S. House seat.
Four states close polls at 10 p.m. EST
At 10 p.m. EST, Idaho, Montana, Nevada and Utah have closed their polls. Nevada is a battleground state, with a potentially critical six electoral votes up for grabs.
Majority of Midwestern states close polls at 9 p.m. EST
Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, parts of Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, parts of Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming closed their polls at 9 p.m. EST. In this group are critical battleground states: Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Florida fails to pass Amendment 3 and 4
Florida’s Amendments 3 and 4, which would legalize recreational marijuana and abortions up to fetal viability, respectively. are projected to fail. While both achieved a majority of the votes, they failed to reach the 60% supermajority required in the state for constitutional amendments to pass.
AP calls Illinois’ 19 electoral votes for Harris
Harris has won Illinois’ 19 electoral votes.
Arkansas’ polls close at 8:30 p.m. EST
At 8:30 p.m., Arkansas, which has six electoral votes, closed its polls.
AP calls South Carolina for Trump
Trump has won South Carolina’s nine electoral votes, per the AP.
Florida Sen. Rick Scott projected to be re-elected
Incumbent Sen. Rick Scott has won re-election for Florida’s Senate seat, per AP projections.
Trump wins Florida
According to the AP’s projections, Trump has won Florida’s 30 electoral votes. Florida has grown increasingly Republican in recent years.
Oklahoma goes to Trump, per the AP’s projections
Trump has won Oklahoma’s seven electoral votes.
Trump wins Tennessee
According to the AP, Trump has won Tennessee’s 11 electoral votes.
Harris wins District of Columbia
Harris has won the District of Columbia’s three electoral votes, according to AP projections.
AP projects Harris wins Maryland
Maryland’s 10 electoral votes are projected to go to Harris.
Harris wins Massachusetts
According to the AP’s projection, Harris has won Massachusetts’ 11 electoral votes.
AP projects Trump wins Alabama
Trump has won Alabama’s nine electoral votes, according to the AP’s projection.

The polls have closed in Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, the rest of Florida, Illinois, parts of Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee and parts of Texas at 8 p.m. EST.

Trump has won West Virginia’s four electoral votes, per the AP’s projection.

The polls in North Carolina, Ohio and West Virginia are closing at 7:30 p.m. EST.
The Associated Press calls Trump for Kentucky and Indiana; Harris for Vermont
With 14% reported, the Associated Press has called Indiana’s 11 electoral votes for Trump. In Kentucky, Trump is projected to win, with 8% of the votes currently reported. Harris is projected to win in Vermont, with 0% of the voted reported.
First wave of polls close
At 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, polls closed in certain districts of Indiana and Kentucky. Georgia, the rest of Indiana, the rest of Kentucky, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia and parts of Florida closed their polls just now, at 7 p.m. EST.
