Starbucks released their fall menu on Aug. 26. The anticipated fall lineup includes the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Baked Apple Croissant, Raccoon Cake Pop and Pumpkin & Pepita Loaf.
The drinks released have been on Starbucks’ seasonal fall menu for several years. This year was the famous Pumpkin Spice Latte’s 22nd anniversary, having been introduced in 2003. Since then, Starbucks has added several new and exciting drinks and food items to their fall menu. The newest additions this year are the Pecan Oat Milk Cortado and Italian Sausage Egg Bites.
The Pumpkin Spice Chai was perfectly flavored with just the right amount of pumpkin spice and the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino was not overpowering in the slightest. It had a subtle yet recognizable pumpkin flavor — it was the Goldilocks of the pumpkin spice drinks.
In terms of food, the Baked Apple Croissant tasted like a freshly baked apple pie with a nice amount of apple filling and the Raccoon Cake Pop had a very cute and detailed design. The cake had a pleasant vanilla flavor without being too sweet.
Starbucks’ fall drinks seem to have a more autumnal feel than those offered by Dunkin’. The franchise’s pumpkin drinks capture the pumpkin spice flavor significantly better than Dunkin’s Pumpkin Spice Latte. Additionally, while Dunkin has a few fall drinks, Starbucks seems to offer more to their customers.
The first-sip-feeling offered by Starbucks’ fall drinks is an essential part of the autumn experience. The franchise’s seasonal menu is anticipated every year, allowing for a sense of comfort and an embracement of the months to come.
Many students also found that the new fall menu drinks had great flavor; some even believe that Starbucks offers the best fall drink selection.
Klitsberg gets the Pumpkin Spice Latte every year and has tried several of the other fall menu items as well. Still, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is her favorite.
The fall menu offers something to look forward to in the autumn months. The drinks and food items are more than worth it, but they will only be out until early Nov. when it is time to make room for the drinks of the winter and holiday season.

This article makes me want to try some of the fall food. I don’t like any flavors in my coffee, but the Baked Apple Croissant sounds really good, maybe accompanied by a regular cappuccino.
