Starbucks released their holiday menu on Nov. 6, which ends in the second week of Jan. The festive menu includes drinks such as the Peppermint Mocha, Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino, Iced Sugar Cookie Latte, Sugar Cookie Latte, Iced Sugar Cookie Breve, Caramel Brulee Latte, Egg Nog Latte and Iced Gingerbread Chai, as well as food such as the Cranberry Bliss Bar, Snowman Cookie, Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, Cinnamon Pull-Apart and Polar Bear Cake Pop.
The holiday drinks have been released in Dec. annually since 1997. This year, Starbucks is releasing the Eggnog Latte and Cream Eggnog Cold Foam on Dec. 2. They also introduced the new Hazelnut Praline Mille-Feuille Oat Milk Latte, Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread and Polar Bear Cake Pop.
The Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino holds the essence of the coming holiday season. It was cold while simultaneously offering a sense of coziness. It tasted like freshly made peppermint bark and the chocolate shavings, added on top of the whipped cream, was the final touch that tied the drink together.
The Iced Gingerbread Chai tastes like homemade gingerbread cookies with a hint of pumpkin. This drink comes with ginger bread cream cold foam and pumpkin spice toppings. The flavor is not overpowering at all.
The Sugar Plum Cheese Danish was a light, buttery croissant. In the center was a mixture of a light spread of cheese and jelly, which was sweet and savory at the same time.
The Iced Sugar Cookie Latte was a sweet and sugary latte, which was made with the just right amount of sweetness, without overpowering the latte flavor.
Red cup day returned this year on Nov. 13, and customers at Starbucks received their drinks in reusable and festive red cups with any holiday purchase. Starbucks started this tradition in 2018, with a new holiday design every year. Due to high demand, the red cups are often out of stock by the end of the day.
The Starbucks bear cup was also a viral sensation. Starbucks fans and TikTok influencers woke up at 3 a.m. to hunt for this cup at their local Starbucks. The cup sold out on the same day it was released nationwide. People purchased multiple cups so that they could resell them for hundreds of dollars. This cup is called the Bearista Cold Cup and the bear is dressed in a cute beanie with its own little beverage. The Bearista Cup was limited edition, which is why many people went out of their way to get it.
In addition to Starbucks adding the new Bearista Cold Cup, Starbucks and Hello Kitty are teaming up to bring the season’s most adorable Hello Kitty merchandise to stores across the U.S. and Canada, starting Nov. 6.
This new addition includes the boxed plush, ceramic mug, stainless steel cold cup, water bottle, cold cup, stainless steel tumbler and new Hello Kitty gift card designs. Hello Kitty has always been loved by many people, including older and younger generations, and now the beloved franchises of Starbucks and Hello Kitty are collaborating to make a cute merchandise collection just in time for the holiday season.
Starbucks went viral this year with their new holiday menu and merchandise. Because of all of the praise the company is receiving, more people want to come and check out Starbucks. Starbucks has delicious yet subtle drinks for any occasion, and these new drinks are perfect for the holiday season.
