As a self-taught artist Chao has painted over 100 pieces of art. “I understand when people say ‘practice makes perfect’ because sometimes that is true," Chao said. "If you have a lot of passion for something, whether it’s art or soccer, if you continue to do it you will learn along the way. If you don't give up on what you love then you are going to keep on improving no matter what."
